Our 10 am service is reverential, dignified and traditional. It is also warm, friendly, and family-friendly which may seem to some as contradictory until they have experienced worship with us. This service uses the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. "1928 Book of Common Prayer" means that we use traditional language as in "thee and thou," and that we follow a prayer book as opposed to having hand-outs or projecting things on a screen. If this is your first service with this type of format, we would suggest not worrying about how we worship. Just follow as best you can, and let the beauty and spirituality of the worship wash over you. We love children and want their early memories of church to be wonderful. For this reason, our church is child-friendly and understand that sometimes children are fussy. Children are welcome to stay in church with their parents, but please note that we have Sunday School at this service. If your children attend Sunday School, they will leave during the Sermon Hymn. Our 10 am service is Morning Prayer on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, with Holy Communion on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays, with Holy Days, and Feast Days being Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion).
The Healing Service, or Holy Unction, will be administered within the 10:00 a.m. service of Holy Communion on the First Sunday of the month.
Our hymns are also traditional with most hymns from the 1940 Hymnal. Actually it means more than this, but basically if you like traditional language and traditional Hymns you will probably like this service. Coffee Hour follows the service.
